We collect the following types of personal and business information when you interact with Genieus:
1.1 Account Information: First name, last name, email address and password [hashed]
1.2 Organization Information: Organization legal name, nature of business and country of operation.
1.3 AI Agent Information: Knowledge documents uploaded by users for training their AI agents (the responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and ownership of the documents lies with the user).
1.4 Chat Data: Chats between the AI agent and users, whether for testing or actual conversations with public users, are stored for the purpose of improving the service, tracking user interactions, and assisting in any necessary support or troubleshooting
1.5 Lead and Inquiry Data [customer engagements]: Based on the AI agent’s settings, it may collect personal and professional information of public users (customers of the organization) during lead generation or inquiry processes. This data may include, but is not limited to, name, contact information and other details relevant to the lead or inquiry, as determined by the AI agent’s configuration.
Note: We do not currently collect payment data. If payment features are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and organization
- To enable the creation, training and customization of your AI agent
- To provide and improve the functionality of our services
- To communicate with you regarding updates, support and product features
- To ensure compliance with legal obligations and protect against misuse of the service
3. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to support the operation of our platform, including but not limited to cloud hosting, document parsing, and large language models. These third-party services may have access to your data as necessary to perform their functions. However, their use of the data is governed by their own privacy policies and terms of service, which may differ from those of Genieus. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party services to understand how they handle your data.
4. Data Retention
- User-Uploaded Knowledge Documents: Users can delete the knowledge documents they upload to the platform at any time.
- Account, AI Agent and Engagement Data: Currently, there is no option for users to delete their accounts, AI agents, chat histories, or engagement data. We retain this data to continue providing our service, but users can manage and delete knowledge documents they upload.
- We may retain your data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless you request deletion or we are required to retain it for legal reasons.
5. User Rights
You have the following rights regarding the data we collect:
- Access: You can access the information associated with your account, organization, and AI agent.
- Rectification: You can update and correct the information associated with your account and organization.
- Limited Deletion: You can delete knowledge documents you have uploaded. However, there is no current functionality to delete your entire account, AI agent, chat histories, or engagements.
At this time, we do not offer data portability.
6. Data Security
We use stringent security measures, including Firebase keys and database rules, to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Our system is designed to safeguard your data, but no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but strive to implement industry-standard practices to protect your information.
7. International Data Transfers
The services we use, such as cloud hosting and document parsing, may involve the transfer of your data to countries outside your jurisdiction. For example, our third-party services may store data in the United States and Europe. We do not have control over the exact locations where your data is stored, but we ensure that these services comply with applicable data protection laws.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. By using the Genieus platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a minor, we will take steps to delete such data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements or other operational needs.
